OUR YOUTH-LED INTERGENERATIONAL MOVEMENT
Since 2014, Gente Organizada (Gente) has been dedicated to bringing together generations to access, build, and wield their collective power to achieve justice and equity for Pomona's most vulnerable families. We envision a community where all families — especially working-class and low-income families, people of color, LGBTQIA+ youth and adults, and immigrant families — are free from oppression.
Our organization has and always will be led by youth and parents of Pomona.
FOR THE PEOPLE: END INSTITUTIONAL VIOLENCE IN POMONA
As an organization, we are working toward a future where race, citizenship status, gender, sexuality, or socioeconomic status are no longer matters for persecution or discrimination. And just as important, we are building our community’s ability to foster the health, well-being, and prosperity of all families.
We seek to End Institutional Violence in our community and organize against all the ways it manifests itself in the City of Pomona, the Pomona Unified School District, and all local institutions.
